Prime Minister John Howard addressed the nation today in a speech making the case for re-election. Mr Howard outlined his five goals for a fifth term as keeping Australia strong, secure and united; building a new era of economic growth; revamping federalism to incorporate “aspirational nationalism”; ensuring everyone gets a slice of the economic boom; and addressing climate change, energy and water security.
