Ocean activists Sea Shepherd have made the decision to withdraw their vessels from Antarctic waters, ending a 12-year campaign against Japanese whalers.

Due to Japan’s advanced military surveillance, and a lack of support from the Australian government, the ocean crusaders have been forced to step down and reassess their strategies for the future.
