Israeli snap elections delay peace process once again

The Israeli President Shimon Peres has called early elections, after the foreign minister, Tzipi Livini, failed to form a coalition government with minority parties. Livini blames the ultra orthodox Shas Party, who demanded that Jerusalem be removed from any peace negotiations with the Palestinians. Elections are now expected to take place in February next year, and in the mean time, the middle east peace process is on hold once more.
