A senior Israeli diplomat, Dan Gillerman, is asking Australia not to attend a convention on racism at the UN, saying it’s a platform for anti-semitism. Gillerman made headlines in February when he claimed that Israeli soldiers deserved medals for their efforts in the bombardment of the Gaza strip. Meanwhile Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, have banded together to sue Israel in the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged war crimes in Gaza.
