Tensions in the Middle East Have boiled over today as Israel retaliates to what it deemed an “act of war” when Lebanese Militant Group Hezbollah attacked an army outpost capturing two soldiers and killing eight others this week. Already Israel has bombed bridges linking South Lebanon with the rest of the country and only hours ago attacked two runways of Beirut’s international airport. The ANU’s Professor Matthew Gray spoke to the Wire about Israel’s retaliation to Hezbollah.
