Islamic State takes Ramadi; next stop Baghdad?

ISIS or Islamic State have taken the key Sunni held city of Ramadi, just 11 kilometres from the Iraq capital, Baghdad. It’s a bold step which many in the Coalition fighting them didn’t think they had the capacity to achieve. Iraq’s special forces unit, the Golden Brigade, fled the city, leaving their US-supplied weapons behind them, and paving the way for Islamic State to fix their eyes on Fallujah – just one step closer to Baghdad.
