The federal government’s chief climate advisor, Professor Ross Garnaut handed his final report over to Kevin Rudd today, and received some very mixed reviews from global warming experts. The long awaited, 620 page report, unveiled a strategy for combating climate change over coming decades. The three previous draft reports were heavily criticised by climate scientists and Green groups as being too soft on reducing emissions. After angering conservationists earlier this month by recommending a 10 per cent greenhouse cut by 2020, he now says he’s now more open to a 25 per cent emissions cut.
