The cure for cancer might be buried in the deep sea, according to research by the University of Wollongong. Researchers are transporting chemicals hidden 200 metres below sea-level to the lab, and testing them against cancer cells. Over one hundred cancer-killing chemicals have been discovered over the past five years, following decades of research into natural therapies. And for ovarian and pancreatic cancer patients who’ve suffered through ineffective treatment, the research has renewed hope that a cure is on the way.
