Corporate Australia has an appalling record on appointing women to senior positions, and as a result, a quota system should be considered. That’s according to the Federal Sex discrimination Commissioner Elizabeth Broderick. She says only 8% of company directors are women and the figure has been declining over the last 3 years. While women have made gains in many areas of employment in recent years it seems the top jobs remain elusive.
