The Australian Renewable Energy Agency looks set to be axed in the Federal budget, in a move that has worried many in the sector. The agency currently enjoys a 2.5 billion dollar budget to make renewable solutions more affordable and widespread, by funding projects such as solar energy. These projects could open the window for Australia to make money from innovative technology. But there are those who say Australia is better off without ARENA and that this move couldn’t come soon enough.
