Children gathered outside Kevin Rudd’s Sydney home, Kirribilli House today sporting an oversized megaphone in a bid to get their voices heard and protect their rights. Greens Senator Sarah Hansen-Young is calling on political parties to get behind the campaign for an independent advocacy commission to give Australian children a voice. The Commonwealth Commissioner for Children and Young people Bill will be introduced into parliament later this year, in a bid to better protect Australia’s vulnerable and disadvantaged kids.
