19 Million Iraqi citizens will be eligible to participate in the upcoming election on Sunday the 7th of March. Electoral procedures and social dynamics have changed dramatically since 2005, the countries first national democratic election since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein. This will be the last national election before the scheduled withdrawal of US troops in 2011 and Iraqis are actually able to have their say on the timing of the withdrawal through a referendum.
