The Iranian President’s campaign to convince fellow Muslims to join his ideological battle against the US has won worldwide criticism, during a recent trip to Indonesia. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to the world’s largest Muslim nation was part of the D8 summit in Bali for developing Muslim countries, which aimed to strengthening economic ties amongst the participating countries. However, it was Iran’s nuclear ambitions rather than its economic aspirations that dominated international press coverage of the event.
