The world over, women are celebrating their achievements and speaking out about discrimination as they join together to mark International Women’s Day. Federal Sex Discrimination Commissioner Pru Goward has used International Women’s Day to point out about the scarcity of women in senior corporate, political and judicial roles in Australia. Caitriona Murtagh caught up with UNIFEM’s May Lamont, to talk about the challenges Indigenous women face.
