Interim climate change report says targets must be set

It looks as though Australia will soon fall in line with other developed countries and finally commit to some definite greenhouse targets, after refusing to be pinned down at last year’s climate change conference in Bali. At that meeting the government played for time and asked Professor Ross Garnaut to look at the economic impact that targets would have – and this afternoon the professor released his interim report He says there needs to be a firm commitment to 2020 and 2050 emissions targets .. similar to those accepted by other developed countries.
