Shocking allegations have emerged this week surrounding the workplace culture of parliament. The claims come after national outrage and protests for women’s equality.

In response to Brittany Higgin’s claims earlier last month, Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins is set to lead an independent inquiry to examine how to change practices and overall culture to ensure prevention and response to incidents.

However, many are calling for the review to ensure the utmost transparency and openness, and for the government to welcome important changes.
