The Australian Human Rights Commission heard evidence from health professionals who have worked in Australian detention centres yesterday at the national inquiry into children in immigration detention. Witnesses revealed startling allegations including sexual abuse against children by detention centre staff and an alleged government cover-up of the mental health problems of child asylum seekers.
