In another twist of the spying saga involving Indonesian and Australian government officials, hackers have today attacked the websites of the Australian Federal Police and Reserve Bank of Australia. The websites were unavailable for several hours before the AFP and the RBA could put them back online.

Are the attacks simply a new form of protest against government actions, or are they part of more serious problem which blurs the line between states and individuals?
