Today’s national summit on violence in Indigenous communities was an opportunity for the Government to take action on issues that have been poorly dealt with or simply ignored for too long. Most would agree that the Government needs to work alongside Indigenous groups to tackle problems of violence and abuse in Indigenous communities. Yet there is a distinct lack of Indigenous representation at the Summit.
