Despite showing more than 2,000 artefacts when surveyed in the seventies, an Indigenous site in Western Australian has been taken off the heritage register. The site, located on the northern banks of Bibra lake, falls under the path of the propose Roe 8 freeway extension. A more recent archaeological survey of the area identified no Aboriginal material, despite experts saying ii is as old as the Pyramids.
