21 Aboriginal nations in New South Wales and Queensland have united to demand control over water flows in the Northern Basin of the Murray Darling be returned to them. The Chairperson of the Northern Murray Darling Basin Aboriginal Nations, Fred Hooper, says Aboriginal people never gave up their sovereignty over the Basin in the first place, and are calling for it to be returned.
