Andrew Forrest, the head of the government’s latest review into Indigenous employment, has said that housing issues are key to incentivising job opportunities. Mr Forrest explains that many Indigenous people don’t take jobs outside their communities because they fear they will lose their housing entitlements. But critics of the idea say housing entitlements are not a major issue when it comes to Indigenous employment and more focus should be placed on creating jobs in remote communities.
