Over the past decade, funding for Indigenous health in Australia has increased by almost 250 per cent. However, a report released today shows that Indigenous healthcare has not improved proportionately. The report is called Closing the Accountability Gap: The First Step Towards Better Indigenous Health. It pinpoints a lack of accountability and transparency as two of the main barriers facing Indigenous healthcare in the country.
