Dr. Bernard Singleton receives his Doctorate at JCU

Uncle Bernie Singleton has had a varied and interesting working life, which has included significant roles in Indigenous heritage and conservation, and Aboriginal health.

His work in in these areas has been recognized by James Cook University with the award of a Doctorate of Letters in Archaeology Anthropology and Health.

Dr. Singleton is also an active senior member of the Kunjur First Nations Men’s Collective, an Indigenous support group based in Cairns.
