Indigenous cricket received a well earned boost earlier this year when Australian team veteran Matthew Hayden announced his retirement. At that time, the opening batsman said he hoped to work on programs to promote cricket among indigenous Australians. Today, the National Indigenous Development Cricket Team were training with Hayden before leaving on a national tour to the United Kingdom. And they follow in the footsteps of a similar tour over one hundred and forty years ago.
