A nationwide ad campaign was launched today, urging Aboriginal Australian’s to quit smoking. The targeted ads form part of a wider government initiative to ‘Close The Gap’ on Aboriginal life expectancy. The campaign tells the story of a young girl who has lost her family and friends to smoking. According to recent figures, one in two indigenous Australian’s smoke, making it the leading cause of cancer and cardiovascular disease in these communities.
