The Wire

Patti Miller was born in Wellington, in central western New South Wales. She says a dream told her to go back to her home town to explore the stories of the Aboriginal people who had grown up around her. Her book, The Mind of a Thief, explores how non-Aboriginal people can come to terms with sharing the country that isn’t really theirs and how in writing the book Patti discoveredshe had more connections than she realised with the local Wirradjuri people.
