Peter Garrett is a renowned environmentalist and is not a member of a Labor Party that looks set to pass the FTA. Jay Lamey caught up with him in Adelaide and asked if he or the party had thought about the environment and the FTA. But Garrett stuck to the party line like glue and Jay came away un-enlightened. However, while addressing the Adelaide University Labor Club Garrett did talk at some length about what separated Labor from Liberal when it came to environmental policy. He highlighted the Murray River, renewable energy and Kyoto as three big areas.
