Back in April we ran a story on early onset dementia – where a disease, usually associated with old age, develops much earlier in life. Vince O’Rourke has written a book about his experiences caring for a loved one with early onset dementia, also known as younger onset Alzheimer’s. “I wish I were a Leper” is based on diary and journal entries which record the journey he and his wife Margaret took with the disease.
