The Palestinian Liberation Organisations or PLO’s bid to get the United Nations to recognise Palestine as a State is well underway. But with the United States making it publicly clear that they will veto any decision that recognises the Palestinians as a nation, many are questioning the point of such an action. In his article last week for Foreign Policy, Hussein Ibish from the American task force on Palestine outlined a number of options the Palestinians have, regardless of whether the Americans veto their statehood request.
