We might look up at them and daydream, but clouds could have more importance in our daily lives than we realise.

Research into the loss of clouds due to climate change is a current focus for many climate scientists. Some fear that feedback loops resulting from a future lack of clouds might raise temperatures by up to eight extra degrees in the future – creating the kind of extreme conditions that could see crocodiles swimming in the Arctic.
