Victoria Police today announced a new policy giving officers the authority to use lethal force in situations where vehicles are used for terrorism, such as the Bourke St Mall attacks.

Under the changes, Victorian officers now have the full support of their force in making split-second decisions to shoot-to-kill in what is known as ‘hostile vehicle situations.’
