Hope on the horizon for indigenous Maralinga victims

It’s 50 years since the British detonated atomic bombs in the far north of South Australia but its story that hasn’t ended yet. In the latest move the Aboriginal legal Rights movement is pressuring the Australian government to make the British pay compensation to the desert people who were dispossessed and harmed by the bomb tests. CEO of the ALRM Neil Gillespie says the response from both state and federal governments has been encouraging. Story also features Rose Lester whose traditional land is Wallatinna. She says she and her family can no longer return there because of the risk of radiation.
