Fears about Holden’s future were eased today, with the announcement of a multi-government investment package to keep the company in Australia until 2022.

Prime minister Julia Gillard and Holden Chairman Mike Devereaux were in Canberra this morning to announce the $275 million package – which will be funded both federally and by South Australian and Victorian state governments, alongside GM’s own billion-dollar investment.
