New South Wales (NSW) Police have launched two important initiatives to help raise awareness of missing persons in the State, with a big focus on mending issues of trust between Aboriginal families and the police – where a disproportionate number of Aboriginal females go missing every year. The police fear this number may even be higher, with many not trusting the police to find their loved ones. Therefore they hope that a new DVD will help bridge relations and show ways forward for distressed families.
