The High Court of Australia has put a freeze on the Government’s plan to deport 16 asylum seekers. It’s the first group the Gillard Government has tried to remove under its new people swap deal with Malaysia. Now, what happens to the asylum seekers won’t be decided until the case is heard before a full bench of the court. So will Government’s policy ultimately be scuttled?
