The publicity given to this week's US court decision is expected to raise again the issue of the legality of Guantanamo continuing to exist.

A decision this week by the US federal court of Appeal has given new hope to David Hicks that he may be able to throw off the label of convicted terrorist. However his lawyer Stephen Kenny says the prospect of him suing the Australian governemnt is fairly unlikely, and that his primary hope is to clear his name.
