The federal government announced it will introduce a digital pilot scheme to certify Indigenous art.

Alice Springs-based peak body Desart will be in charge of the program in partnership with the Copyright Agency and Department of Communications.

It’s part of a response to a wide-ranging inquiry into the sale of inauthentic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art around the country.
