Healthcare workers in Central Australia receive training boost

Regional communities continue to experience demand for healthcare nurses in emergency areas.  The Northern Territory government is increasing funding to train their second cohort of registered critical care, nurses at Alice Springs Hospital, bringing the number of nurses working in ICU and Emergency Department to 19.According to the Northern Territory’s Minister for Health Selena Uibo, the program will allow the hospital to retain staff and offer better healthcare to patients.
