Health workers and politicians have joined forces at a rally against health cuts proposed in the Federal budget. A crowd of thousands gathered in Adelaide to give voice to their concerns and appeal to the government to re-consider cuts to health funding and the proposed co-payment for doctors visits. Speakers represented the midwifery association, Indigenous affairs, social services and rural doctors and their message was consistent and clear – health cuts are going to hurt people and put more pressure on already stretched medical services.
