Reconciliation Week marred by indigenous health cuts

As Australia celebrated Reconciliation Week last week, Indigenous Affairs Minister Nigel Scullion announced that critical indigenous health services in Queensland and South Australia would lose significant amounts of  funding.

The affected services say this will mean the axeing of important programs, particularly around drug and alcohol use.

Scott Wilson, the Director of the Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Council says that without the money to pay staff it will be impossible to continue to run key services.
