The death of Colonel Gaddafi’s son, Saif al-Arab Gaddafi, and three of his grandchildren in a NATO missile attack on Saturday has raised questions about whether the military alliance has gone too far. NATO has stressed targeting individuals is not part of their plan to protect the Libyan people, but not everyone is convinced. Russia says the attacks went beyond the UN mandate to protect Libyan civilians.
