After having the three coldest winter mornings in June to date, our hearts go out to people who don’t have enough warm clothes or any shelter. Poverty and homelessness seriously affects thousands of people around Australia and the world, with most people experiencing homelessness due to family breakdown, unemployment, violence and abuse. In response to the issue UnitingCare Wesley today, has launched their campaign for the second year running, Hang it up for Poverty. The campaign is raising money, whilst taking a different approach and providing wardrobes for the public to donate their clothing into. This year Hang it up for Poverty has hopes to raise over 50,000 dollars and collect 10,000 items of clothing.
