Another day, another twist in the Mohammed Haneef case. Last night SBS’s dateline program revealed a dossier given to journalist David O’Shea by Indian Police, alleging that Haneef had links with terrorist group Al-Qaida. The allegations extend beyond anything the Australian Federal Police have revealed so far. In the overall assessment section of the document, it states “After having his education in Karnataka, Mohammed Haneed must have come into contact with members of terrorist entities.” However many sections of the dossier are not filled in at all. While David O’Shea acknowledges the bombshell he’s dropped by revealing the papers, he says they should be treated with caution. He talks about the response he has received so far to the revelation.
