Growing a moe for prostate cancer
The Pink Ribbon promoting awareness of breast cancer is a well known symbol. But what do you think of when you see a hairy moustache? Every year almost 3000 men die of prostate cancer, equal to the number of women dying of breast cancer. Movember – the month when all blokes are encouraged to grow a moustache is all about getting prostate cancer and depression for men back in the public. Launching tonight, male participants or Mo-Bros will seek sponsorship for their increasingly hairy upper lip with all proceeds going to Beyond Blue and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. This report from Anne von Fehrn starts with the director and founder of Movember Australia, Luke Slattery.
