Almost six months after their arrest, the trial of Australian journalist Peter Greste and his Al Jazeera colleagues has been adjourned yet again. The crew were swept up by Egyptian authorities in December for alleged links with the Muslim Brotherhood. However, they consider themselves “political hostages” and claim the evidence to be contrived. Free speech advocates say that the whole situation is an example of challenges to press freedom around the world.
