Christine Milne has been passed the baton of the Greens leadership from Bob brown. She’s hit the ground running, and says she wants to build alliances with new sections of the community. Small business isn’t a traditional ally of the Greens but the smaller end of town has received some vocal support from the party in recent times. The new leader of the Greens says that properly directed markets can serve society well, and there are plenty of avenues for co-operation, she says, between The Greens and the businesses of the new economy. Milne joined me a short time ago to discuss The Greens’ direction on economic policy.
