There was talk around Canberra this morning that the multi-party climate change committee was on the verge of an agreement on the Carbon tax, but it seems we’re no closer to finalising a deal than we were yesterday. In an historic moment in Australian politics, the Greens are set to take the balance of power in the senate tomorrow – and will no doubt be using their position to push for a better deal. Regular Canberra correspondent Bernard Keane discusses how the Greens will handle the balance of power.
