According to on-the-ground Australian journalist Tim Brunero Greek national pride has a lot to do with the determination of many to reject any EU bailout. Many ordinary Greeks have suffered under the Euro and would welcome a return to the drachma and what they see as more control over their economy. A referendum on Sunday will decide whether Greece will say yes or no to the EU’s conditions.
