Grandmothers Against the Detention of Refugee Children have been working for almost two years to end the detention of refugee children and their families.

When the refugee deal with the US was announced they prepared knapsacks for the children on Nauru to take with them on their journey to the US.

And while incoming president Donald Trump has railed against the ‘dumb deal’ there are indications it will go ahead and the Grandmothers remain hopeful.
